Fundraise For Wildlife 18/19

Neighbours for the Planet

Every year, polar bears in Hudson Bay walk up to 5,000 kilometres across Arctic sea ice in search for food to raise their cubs. But the sea ice on which they depend is changing, and in some cases disappearing altogether. Polar bears need sea ice to feed and breed and as climate change warms the Arctic, their habitat is disappearing.

With Canadians from coast to coast to coast, we will walk for the polar bears as it makes its 5,000km journey through the Arctic and raise funds to help tackle the impact of climate change on all Arctic species.

Amy Hampton has inspired us to host an event and raise funds to help WWF-Canada protect vulnerable species and the places they call home.

We will be hosting a Polar Bear Walk. Details as follows:

Date :  24th Feb 2019

Location: York Regional Forest, Hall Tract. 15681 McCwan Rd, Whitchurch-Stouffville, Ontario. Google maps: https://goo.gl/maps/YRiVifUm6M62

Time: 2 - 4pm

We'll be walking for a couple of hours and are looking forward to a beautiful wintry day in the forest.

There are a couple of choices of how you can help us.:

• We'd love it if you could join our Team, Neighbours For the Planet, raise donations and join us on the walk. Please choose the option to Join Team.
• Or, if you unfortunately can't join us, then we'd appreciate it if you could donate online.

If you will be walking, please dress for the weather, bring snacks and water and adorn yourself with as many Polar Bear stuffies as you possess!

Thank you for supporting our fundraiser and our planet!

Andy
